Learning to Become Stronger

Body
What do we do with grief? How do we handle a tornado called "Death" that has ripped through your family? Why are you left numb and stunned? We are not sure we will ever be the same. Not sure we will ever want to be the same. Well, in reality, we won't ever be the same as we were. It's impossible. But hopefully we will be stronger. Yes, that is possible. We know of loved ones who are living testimonies to that.

Real Cowboys

The Wedding Gift

Body
”Tom and Katie were in love. After two years of courting, Tom finally worked up his courage to pop the question. No, not the “Will you marry me?” to Katie. The real question back in those years was the one asked of the bride’s father, “Do I have your permission to ask your daughter to marry me?”

Do you remember what we used to call “Kodak Moments?” A look from someone, good or bad, that is indelibly etched into your brain forever. How about a teacher who gave you a “dirty look.” All of us have either given or received “a look” to or from someone.

Some lose hope because of what the doctor said, or because of what circumstances are saying.

Regrets are Power

Body
In my years as youth minister, preaching minister, and now a hospice chaplain, I have observed that the strongest regrets are those from people who lost a loved one to death. I have heard comments like, 'I wish', 'if only', 'it's not fair', 'why?’ and so many others. These regrets can consume a person to the point that they feel paralyzed, living a guilt-ridden life and a very frustrated existence.

Want A Scary Story?

• A parent’s worst nightmare. Six-year-old Adam Walsh was at a popular shopping mall in Florida. It was 1981. He went missing. One month later a gruesome discovery was made. Adam’s severed head was found.

Why Don’t More People Believe?

Body
Many people watch horror films. They are very graphic, and are written with realistic ideas and themes. Viewers tend to believe that the creatures, such as werewolves and vampires, are real beings. Even some adults are fearful of camping and entering darkened rooms in their own homes.
