Bristow banker graduates from OBA Compliance School

Sarah Shaull, with Community Bank, in Bristow, recently completed the Oklahoma Bankers Association Compliance School in Oklahoma City.Shaull was among 41 participants at the school, which was held Aug. 17-21 at the OBA Harris Event Center.

Creek County Retired Educators hold first meeting of the year

Creek County Retired Educators held their first meeting of the new year Monday Aug. 31st. Approximately forty members and guests were in attendance at La Margaritas in Sapulpa.Guest speakers were Bret and Lanette Fadley. Bret shared his love of antique toys and also brought some of his favorites.

Halloween at Rainbow

Rainbow Nursing Home held a Halloween Trick or Treat on Friday. Over 150 students visited the home, where a lot of time and work went in to decorating for the residents. The residents and employees dressed in their Halloween attire, enjoying the time with the children and passing out the candy.

BPS Halloween Dance scheduled

Every year, the BMS hosts a Halloween dance, which is a lot of fun which began around 2010.The dance is a fundraiser for Bristow Middle School, but it usually funds itself. They use the money raised from ticket sales and concessions to cover the costs of the following year's dance.

Library to hold Woodland Queen Fall Festival

The Bristow Public Library is presenting its fourth annual Woodland Queen Fall Festival onOctober 25 from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m.. This year, the festival will feature a chili cookoff, games, crafts, and more!
