What comes to mind when you think of home? Familiar people? Known surroundings? You know the place because you lived there. Even the dear dialect shouts, “You’re home!”Some people are still hoping to find “home.” A move gives you new perspectives, but what makes it home?

Lauria and Ashley's Law takes effect November 1

That's the date House Bill 1001 takes effect.The bill, authored by Rep. Steve Bashore, R-Miami, adds accessory to murder in the first or second degree to the list of crimes requiring an offender to serve 85% of their prison sentence before being eligible for consideration for parole.

Ex Mannford police officer sentenced to ten years
