So often when we are grieving we can feel as if we're far from normal. We might be doing things and saying things which friends and family think are downright odd and worrying. This not only adds to our sense of aloneness, but it also plants a seed of doubt in our mind - maybe we are crazy after all.

A frog decided to play a joke on a mouse. The mouse was looking for a way to cross the pond. The frog suggested, “Let me help you. If you tie your foot to my foot, I can tow you across the pond as I swim.” The mouse was afraid to do this but finally agreed because the frog seemed to be sincere in his desire to help.

I meant to save time driving to work by taking a different route. It would be longer, but I would miss all the road construction on my usual route. I left earlier. Along the way, I stopped to let a number of baby ducks cross the highway. What a surprise to see them there.

Years ago, when we were a family of two young boys with their Mom and Dad, we traveled quite a bit. Either headed to a church where Andy was scheduled to speak, or leaving to come home.
