LETTER TO THE EDITOR

Dear Editor,

It was a long and difficult decision, but as many know, I tendered my resignation as Ward 1 Councilman. It was an enlightening experience and my pleasure to serve under 5 mayors over 20 years. Through those many years, there has been more progress accomplished under the present leadership than in years past. We are fortunate to have seen such change and growth in our police and fire departments, historical society, public works, the airport, renovation of swimming pool, water tower. And so very important, the Carrus Urgent Care facility and plans for a new, updated hospital. Bristow is growing and continuing to move forward. A switch and change to a “City Manager” system is not needed and could slow down our progress and become more costly to each of us.
