The Bristow Purple Pirates beat Cleveland 37-19 on Thursday. The first score of the game came from Pirates’ quarterback Stephon Tolon. Then, Cleveland retaliated by scoring a touchdown of their own. In the second quarter, Stephon Tolon scored his second rushing touchdown of the game. The two-point conversion was good. Then, Tolon intercepted Cleveland and scored a rushing touchdown on the next drive. The two-point conversion was good. Afterward, Sutton Titsworth intercepted Cleveland, but Cleveland intercepted Tolon back. The half ended with the Pirates up 22-7.

The Bristow Lady Pirates headed to state competition on Thursday, Oct. 15. Fans lined Main Street at 8:50 a.m. to give the Ladies a great send off.

The Bristow Purple Pirates beat the Grove Ridgerunners 31-13 on Friday. The Ridgerunners fumbled the ball in the first quarter, which was recovered by the Pirates. Then, Cayden McCall scored the first touchdown of the game. The two-point conversion was good. At the end of the first quarter, Grove fumbled the ball again, and Bristow recovered. In the second quarter, Stephon Tolon scored his first touchdown of the game. The half ended with the Pirates up 14-0.

The Bristow Lady Pirates will head to state on Thursday, Oct. 15, after winning regionals last week. The Ladies played strong in all four games and took the title of regional champions. In the first game on Thursday, the Ladies took the field against Poteau taking the win 13-1. Molly Gill had three hits and two RBIs, Mariah Moody made two hits, five RBIs and three QABs. Against Poteau, McKenna Ingram had two hits while Ava Yocum collected two walks, five RBIs and four QABs.

The Bristow Purple Pirates lost against Wagoner 28-7 on Friday. The Pirates started off with their first and only touchdown of the game by Stephon Tolon. In the second quarter, Wagoner scored their first rushing touchdown, tying up the game.

The Bristow Lady Pirates played a district playoff series on Thursday, Oct. 1, 2020, against Vinita. The Ladies won their first game 13 – 1 and the second games 9 – 3. The team will go to Oolagah for regionals on Thursday, Oct. 8.
