In February 1902, Bristowm was looking forward to electric lights and water works.In 1906, Bristow already had a few oil burning lamps placed about town. The merchants had paid for them themselves rather than take funds from the city treasury.

CENTENARIANS OF OKLAHOMA was proud to honor Bristow resident, Bunny Baker, on the occasion of her 100th birthday celebration and induct her into the Centenarians of Oklahoma Hall of Fame. She had a career as a bookkeeper before her retirement in 1980.
