The plane had only been in the air for about 90 minutes when the navigation system shorted out. The pilot came on the intercom to inform the passengers of the situation and to comfort them. He said, “Ladies and gentlemen, I’m sorry to report that we are having difficulty with our navigational system, which means that we presently do not know where we are.” He paused and then added, “However, you will be happy to know that we are making excellent time.”

Traffic on Turnpike rerouted due to accident

An injury collision involving three vehicles occurred on July 18, on the Turner Turnpike, three miles south of Stroud. Vehicles involved were a Dodge Journey, driven by 31 year old Shelby Ward, of Prue, carrying two juvenile passengers ages one and seven, also from Prue; a 2020 Toyota Camry, driven by Devin Wilcox, age 49 of Sand Springs, and a 2019 Chevy Silverado, driven by 38 year old Ryan Woodard, carrying one passenger, Martin Carter, age 41, of Broken Arrow.

Motorcycle crash sends woman to hospital

A husband and wife team, names not released, were riding westbound on Hwy 66. On the curve between Bristow and Depew , she lost control of her bike.The husband looked in rearview mirror and saw her ; he let go of his bike jumping off to help her. She had a head injury and was banged up but was able to stand with help and was moved further from the roadway to rest under a tree waiting on ambulance. At the time of accident, the first motorist on scene was an LPN who helped in assessing the injuries and bandaging her head and wounds. Meanwhile, two more motorcyclists come upon scene. One of them was also an LPN who also assisted with accident victim while the other helped the husband get his bikebackupontheroad Depew Police Department was on scene and directed traffic. Moments later Bristow Fire Department showed up along with Creek County Ambulance and Creek County Sheriff .
