Christmas glow on Route 66: Bristow’s Tree lighting brings holiday cheer

Along historic Route 66, the Bristow Christmas Tree glowed brilliantly as crowds gathered after sundown for the 2025 Tree Lighting Ceremony.The evening carried a warm sense of cheer, marking the beginning of the holiday season and bringing renewed energy to the heart of Bristow.

This year's Christmas parade will happen on Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 at 6:30 p.m. Registration forms are available at Dr. Cantrell's Vision Source and must be completed and turned in no later than Monday, Dec. 1. Forms may be returned to the office in person at 121 E. 7th or faxed to (918) 3679542.

Municipal Authority receives $1,000,000 grant for system improvements

The Municipal Authority of the City of Bristow, Oklahoma (Authority) received approval for $1,000,000 in funding on Tuesday from the Oklahoma Water Resources Board (OWRB) to improve the Authority’s wastewater and water infrastructure.
