At 1:00 on October 15, Satan was seen entering an elementary school in Oregon (It was not the devil himself, but an unfortunate victim of Satan’s grasp).
A driver was the first target, as he tried to intervene.A second witness followed the gunman, then neutralized the threat. The crazed killer had already shot six innocent strangers. My great-niece, 14, lives across the street from that school. My nephew is an emergency- room nurse. He said, “All of us are stunned.” Two survivors were taken to his hospital in critical condition.
Three innocent children, ages 5, 7, and 11, along with a teacher, were killed. The murderous young man shot at and seriously wounded a 6-year-old and a second teacher. Satan is loose on our streets and inside our safe places, which include our homes. Satan lurks in our children’s schools, where students and teachers feel safe, until an agent of Satan walks in with an AK47!.
Many may say, “The boy was sick,” or “The kid was evil,” or “He didn’t know what he was doing!” or “In some ways the shooter was also a victim!”
Media commented, “We are not sure if the man who intervened had a concealed carry permit!” Does that really matter? A hero saved many children!
Unfortunately, a boy brought unending trauma into the hearts and minds of every family involved, especially young children and caring parents. First responders are affected! Those directly involved will suffer survivor's guilt, including the man who shot and killed the active shooter!
Scripture teaches, “And even if our gospel is veiled, it is veiled to those who are perishing, in whose case the god of this world has blinded the minds of the unbelieving so that they will not see the light of the gospel of the glory of Christ, who is the image of God” (2 Corinthians 4:3-4).
Satan blinds the minds of those who reject God!
The Bible indicates only one enemy of all people. Those who turn from God allow evil in! Jesus presented a lesson about this: “Now when the unclean spirit comes out of a person, it passes through waterless places seeking rest, and does not find it. Then it says, ‘I will return to my house from which I came’; and when it comes, it finds it unoccupied, swept, and put in order. Then it goes and brings along with it seven other spirits more wicked than itself, and they come in and live there; and the last condition of that person becomes worse than the first. That is the way it will also be with this evil generation” (Matthew 12:43-45).
Where is Satan? He’s living near you and wants you on his side. Follow God, and stay close to Him! “Resist the devil, and he will flee from you” ( James 4:7).
