Voters in Oklahoma took to the poles today to elect who will be in the race in the November election.
A few seats will fill automatically with this primary election results as no Democratic candidates filed for the seats.
It was a close race on the Republican side for the Governor's seat with Gentner Drummond receiving 28.26 percent of votes and Mike Mazzei right behind with 27.68 percent of votes. Cyndi Munson won on the Democrat side.
Republican T.W. Shannon will now become Oklahoma’s new Lieutenant Governor and Republican Jon Echols takes the Attorney General position and Republication Cindy Byrd wins the State Treasurer seat. With no Democrats filing for these positions, the Republicans win mostofthevotes. Kevin West wins Commissioner of Labor and Bob Sullivan wins the Insurance Commissioner’s title. Locally Kyle Hilbert keeps his State Representative position for District 29 and Frank Lucas wins the votes for US Representative District 03. Haley Anderson wins the County Assessor position and Jarrod Whitehouse retains his title as County Commissioner District 3 winning over Danny Gann.
