The City of Bristow invites the public to attend its Purple Heart Day Ceremony on Friday, August 7, at 10:30 a.m. at the Bristow VFW as the community honors the courage and sacrifice of America’s Purple Heart recipients.
A special invitation is extended to all Purple Heart recipients and their families to attend as honored guests.
As part of the ceremony, the City will recognize Bristow’s designation as a Purple Heart City and display commemorative signs that will be installed at the major state highway entrances to welcome visitors and serve as a lasting tribute to those who have been wounded or killed in combat.
“Purple Heart recipients have sacrificed far more than most of us can imagine, said Mayor Kris Wyatt. This ceremony is our community’s opportunity to thank them, honor their service, and ensure their sacrifices are never forgotten.'
The ceremony is open to the public, and everyone is encouraged to attend.
A Purple Heart Day Ceremony will be held on Friday, Aug, 7 at 10:30 a.m. at the VFW Post 3656 .37033 Veterans Memorial Dr, Bristow.
