Ricky Capps, age 48, a 20 year member of the gospel group Master’s Voice, was recently arrested on three counts of alleged domestic abuse in the presence of a minor and one count of kidnapping.
On May 28, around 7:30 p.m. the Bristow Police Department receuved a call and was dispatched to a residence on East 12th Street. The call was in reference to domestic abuse. Samantha Vanzant, Capps girlfriend, claimed they got into an argument when Capps found her going through his phone and told police that Capps had physically assaultd her by allegedlly throwing her to the floor. Vanzant and Capps have a child together who, along with two other minors, were upstairs and heard the arguing. Vanzant also stated that Capps allegedly locked the door and refused to allow Vanzant to leave. Capps therefore, recieved a kidnapping charge.
Capps bonded out of Creek County Jail the next day with a bond set at $30,000.
