Lady Pirates play in 4-A Regionals

The Bristow girls’ basketball team had three games last week as part of 4A Regionals. The first one was against Holland Hall, where they lost 60-35. During the first quarter, Ava Yocham had a steal. Then, she scored a three-pointer. That was followed by a steal by Abby Morgan. Afterward, Addi Alexander had a steal. In the second quarter, Akiyah Rolland scored a three-pointer. Then, Akiyah Rolland got a steal. Afterward, Yocham scored another three-pointer. That was followed by a steal by Chelsy Livesay. Then, Alexander has another steal. During the third quarter, Morgan scored a three pointer. Then, Alexander scored a three-pointer. In the fourth quarter, Livesay had a block. Then, Jenna Stapleton scored a three-pointer. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 23 rebounds, 10 assists, eight steals, and one block.

Pirates win one, lose one at 4-A Regionals

The Bristow boys’ basketball team played two games last week as part of 4A Regionals. They won their first game against Cushing 44-33. The game started with two steals by Charles Ware. That was followed by a steal by Alex Winter. Then, Stephon Tolon had two steals. In the second quarter, Sutton Titsworth scored a three-pointer. Then, Tolon had a block. During the third quarter, Winter had a block. In the fourth quarter, Winter got his second block of the game. Afterward, Stephon Tolon had a block. The Pirates ended the game with 46 rebounds, three assists, six steals, and three blocks.

In the fourth quarter, Morgan scored her second three-pointer of the game. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 40 rebounds, 15 assists, 13 steals, and one block.
