Ralph Arliss Johns was born April 20, 1965, to Timothy Gene Johns Sr. and Sharon Kay Johns in Houston, Texas. He departed this life Sept. 14, 2021, at the age of 56.

He graduated from Depew High School in 1983. He then attended Northern Oklahoma College in Tonkawa for two years before finishing his bachelor’s degree at East Central University in Ada, Oklahoma.

Ralph was currently working as an A-operator in Generation at AEP-PSO in which he had worked for the last 22 years.

On Oct. 24, 2009, Ralph Johns and Laurie Allton were united in marriage. He had finally found the love of his life, to whom he affectionately called “Beautiful”.

He enjoyed fishing, and anything outdoors. He also enjoyed reading, especially the Bible as he was rooted in his faith. Ralph spent lots of time researching history and different conspiracy theories. He had done extensive study on his Scottish and Irish heritage and ancestry. He often was challenged by his wife, and it became a habit in restaurants that if she said before entering “rules apply” that he had to speak in a Scottish accent. He was so talented that he could do Doric, Irish, Farsi and other numerous accents to the delight of his wife and friends. He would often answer the phone in one of the many accents when telemarketers would call, most often in Scottish or Farsi. His true enjoyment came when he was able to gather with his family and friends and just talk. He was referred to as Unca, Uncle, and Bubba to his nephews and nieces and spoiled them when he could with fishing trips. Even his close friends called him Bubba. He had a great sense of humor and was always willing to share a story or two.

He is survived by his wife, Laurie Johns; two stepsons, Devon Dominguez and Karston Dominguez; one brother, Timothy Johns Jr., and wife Diane; one sister, Marcy Johns Lenzen.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service will be held at 1 p.m., Saturday, Oct. 2, 2021, at the Ivan Reeder Auditorium in Depew.
