Carolyn June (Missy Beistle) Hill, 79, of Sapulpa, passed from this life Sept. 5, 2021 in Tulsa, with her children by her side. She was born Aug. 25, 1942 in Sacramento, California to Robert Roy and Frances Evelyn (Rusher) Beistle. The following year the family relocated to Bristow, where Carolyn attended school through her sophomore year. As a youngster she enjoyed watching Lawrence Welk and cheerleading. She also took piano lessons, which she did not enjoy. During the time her parents owned the Bristow Roller Rink, she became quite the graceful skater. The family then moved back to Sacramento where she graduated from Hiram Johnson High School.

In Oct. 1960, Carolyn married Harry Frank Sargent. From this union Harry Alan and Cynthia Carole were born. In the 1970’s Carolyn and the children relocated to Oklahoma.

For many years Carolyn owned and operated Small World Daycare in Bristow. She loved children and the children loved her. She also was employed by Shell Oil and Blue Cross/Blue Shield in Tulsa before her retirement.

In November 1994, she married Billy R. Hill, of Sapulpa. They were active at Advent Christian Church in Bristow for many years. Later, she and Bill attended Ridgeway Baptist Church and First Baptist Church in Sapulpa. She had a beautiful voice and loved singing in the choir. They celebrated 26 years of marriage before his passing in Dec. 2020. Together, they enjoyed camping, fishing, and traveling in their motorhome with the Good Sams Club. They loved entertaining and everyone felt welcome in their home. Card games, board games, and dominoes were always at the ready. Carolyn enjoyed crafting with her grandchildren and taking them to church camp. She attended as many of their ball games and activities as she could.

In her testimony, she quoted Joshua 24:15 – Choose you this day whom you will serve. As for me and my house, we will serve the Lord. “It isn’t about me, after all. God has more love for us than we’ll ever comprehend. He will never run out of blessings. He will always be God, the Creator, God the provider. He loves us enough to correct us, and loves with an everlasting love.” “However life goes, it’s OK. He’s got my back.”

Carolyn had a quiet, sweet nature and she loved unconditionally. Her words of advice to whatever was troubling someone was, “Is it worth it?” Whether it was a phone call, email, text, or in person her last words were always: “Love, Bye”.

She was immensely proud of her family and leaves nothing behind but beautiful memories. Carolyn was preceded in death by her parents, husband Bill, and brother James Roy (Chip) Beistle. Also, nieces Lisa Carole Miller and Linda Jo Abraham.
