If you were able to ask Jesus only one question, what would you ask Him? Some people would ask, “How long will I live?” Another wants to know, “Will I marry the love of my life?” A young married woman might ask, “Jesus, will my husband love me again if You bless us with a baby?”
While each of these concerns may be valid, there is another, more important question that you must ask Jesus: Jesus was asked, “Teacher, what good thing shall I do so that I may obtain eternal life?” And He said to him, “…There is only One who is good; but if you want to enter life, keep the commandments...”
The young man said, “All these I have kept; what am I still lacking?” Jesus said to him, “If you want to be complete, go and sell your possessions and give to the poor, and you will have treasure in heaven; and come, follow Me.”
But when the young man heard this statement, he went away grieving, for he owned much. And Jesus said to His disciples, “Truly I say to you, it will be hard for a rich person to enter the kingdom of heaven. And again I say to you, it is easier for a camel to go through the eye of a needle than for a rich person to enter the kingdom of God.”
And looking at them, Jesus said to them, “With people this is impossible, but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:13-18, 24-26).
Please read the following Bible teachings in your Bible: The first time Peter preached about Jesus, the people were concerned for their souls (Acts 2:37-38) - Peter’s audience was Jewish and should have recognized Jesus as the promised Savior. They didn’t, but were convicted that day, saying, “What must we do?”
When the murderous Saul (later known as Paul) was blinded by Jesus, he was led into Damascus. Once there, he was told about Jesus’ plan for him. Saul regained his sight and was baptized (see Acts 9).
When Paul later described his conversion in Acts 22:16, he related his urgency for baptism.
In Acts 16:25-34, the jailer in Philippi marveled at what happened, and after he brought them out, he asked, “Sirs, what must I do to be saved?” (Acts 16:30-33).
You may be struggling with guilt over a poor choice you made several years ago. You now know it is sin, and that separates you from God. Jesus died to set you free! Change your heart and be baptized for the forgiveness of your sins!
Only Jesus makes forgiveness possible for you!
