The BIG chair at Anchor 66 is now sporting a new look. After making its debut earlier this year, the over-sized red, white, and blue chair has just received a fresh facelift, this time with a little help from another member of the Bristow community.
Courtney Lyon of DandyLyon Creations and Restorations, based in Stroud, recently added the Anchor 66 logo to the chair, giving the Route 66 attraction an updated and more personalized appearance.
The chair was hand-built and painted by Paul Schiller, father of Anchor 66 owner Adam Schiller. Since then, it has easily become a recognizable feature outside the Bristow business.
The newly painted logo puts the finishing touch on the larger-than-life chair while also showcasing the talent of a local artist. With travelers continuing to make their way down the Mother Road, Anchor 66’s BIG chair is now sporting a fresh look for its next round of visitors.
