What causes Christian diversity? Its cause is Biblical illiteracy. Church-goers don’t know the Bible.
“My people are destroyed for lack of knowledge…Since you have rejected knowledge, I also will reject you…” (Hosea 4:6).
Not knowing God’s teachings leads you into the devil’s traps - “No wonder, for even Satan disguises himself as an angel of light” (2 Corinthians 11: 14).
“Your word…produces reverence for You” (Psalm 119: 38).
Knowing God comes only from knowing His Word.
“I have treasured Your word in my heart, so that I may not sin against You” (Psalm 119:8, 11).
Respect God and treasure His Word. You must know what He says to you!
“My soul clings to the dust; revive me according to Your word…” (Psalm 119:2526).
God wants you to avoid false messengers. Listen to the Lord!
“I considered my ways and turned my feet to Your testimonies. I hurried and did not delay to keep Your commandments” (Psalm 119:5960). If you neglect God’s knowledge, you will never know what He says to you, nor what to reject. Turn to the Lord!
By avoiding knowledge of Him, how can you understand His will for you? Claiming Him as Lord demands your being determined to learn His Word!
“Revive me according to Your faithfulness, so that I may keep the testimony of Your mouth” (Psalm 119:88).
“Your word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path” (Psalm 119:105). God hopes that your faith comes through His Word.
“Sustain me so that I may be safe, that I may have regard for Your statutes continually” (Psalm 119:117).
“I shall keep Your testimonies. I rise before dawn and cry for help; I wait for Your words” (Psalm 119:146147).
“You are near, Lord, and all Your commandments are truth…For I have not forgotten Your Law…Revive me according to Your word. Great are Your mercies, Lord.” (Psalm 119:151, 153-154, 156) “Consider how I love Your precepts; revive me, Lord, according to Your faithfulness. The sum of Your word is truth, and every one of Your righteous judgments is everlasting” (Psalm 119:158-160).
“Those who love Your Law have great peace, and nothing causes them to stumble” (Psalm 119:165).
“Lord, give me understanding according to Your word… ” (Psalm 119:169-170).
“I long for Your salvation, Lord, and Your Law is my delight. Let my soul live that it may praise You, and let Your ordinances help me” (Psalm 119: 174- 175).
“My help comes from the Lord, Who made heaven and earth…He who watches over you will not slumber” (Psalm 121: 2- 3).
Your faith is right when your instruction is based on God’s Word!
