“I take great care of MY car. I actively do regular maintenance on MY car. I rotate the tires, change the oil, and get a brake job on MY car when needed. I update MY computer when updates become available.”

“I” “MY”

For some reason, I keep forgetting that IT DOESN’T BELONG TO ME! . . . NONE OF IT IS MINE! The Bible is clear from Genesis to Revelation that WE ARE ONLY STEWARDS . . . NOT OWNERS.

Psalm 24 (NLT):

“1The earth is the Lord’s, and everything in it. The world and all its people belong to Him.”

If you want to see the results of our taking possession from God . . . look at the lack of good education in our schools . . . check out the senseless violence in the streets . . . peruse the empty pews on Sunday morning . . . listen to the silence during prayer meeting.

When we decide that WE OWN rather than being CARETAKERS, the results include broken relationships . . . broken hearts . . . anger . . . a lack of forgiveness . . . issues unresolved that have progressed too far . . . violence in the streets . . . assault . . . rape . . . murder . . . destruction of property . . . collapsed businesses . . . failed marriages.

When everything is in chaos and turmoil, when you have come to the end of you, when everything is changing, and when the hurricane is blustering and tossing you around . . . Call out to Him— HE WILL NOT FAIL YOU!

2 Chronicles 7:14- 15 (NLT):

“14. . . if my people who are called by my name will humble themselves and pray and seek my face and turn from their wicked ways, I will hear from heaven and will forgive their sins and restore their land. 15My eyes will be open and my ears attentive to every prayer made in this place.”

Always in His Service,
