The Bristow girls’ basketball team had two games this week Their first game was against Cleveland, where they lost 57- 52. During the first quarter, Ava Yocham scored a threepointer. In the second quarter, Josi Morquecho, Jenna Stapleton, and Addi Alexander each got a steal. During the third quarter, Camille Pritchard had two steals. In the fourth quarter, Stapleton scored two threepointers. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 42 rebounds, seven assists, and nine steals.

The Bristow girls’ basketball team competed in the Henryetta Tournament on January 7, 8, and 9. Their first game was against Henryetta, where they won 65-10. During the first quarter, Jenna Stapleton stole the ball. Afterward, Chelsy Livesay got a block for the Lady Pirates. In the second quarter, Ava Yocham blocked Henryetta from scoring. Then, Abby Morgan scored two three-pointers. Addi Alexander also scored a three-pointer. Then, Lynzie Schonfield got a block. During the third quarter, Molly Gill scored a threepointer, followed by another three-pointer from Alexander. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 33 rebounds, 17 assists, 23 steals, and three blocks.

The Bristow boys’ basketball team participated in the Henryetta Tournament last week. They won their first game against Henryetta 48-41. The game started with a block by Alex Winter. Then, Charles Ware scored his first three-pointer of the game. At the end of the first quarter, Sutton Titsworth stole the ball for the Pirates. In the second quarter, Titsworth scored back-to-back three-pointers. Then, Cayden McCall got a block against Henryetta. During the third quarter, Winter got his second block of the game. In the next quarter, Winter blocked the ball again. Then, Ware scored his second three-pointer of the game. Afterward, Titsworth scored his third three-pointer of the game. Then, Ware blocked Henryetta from scoring. The Pirates ended the game with 34 rebounds, 13 assists, 11 steals, and five blocks.
