Fort Gibson: October 6. Elevation is normal and falling, water temperature 74°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) White bass good on crankbaits, in-line spinnerbaits, plastic baits, and spoons below the dam, channels, coves, and points. Crappie good on minnows, spoons, and tube jigs around brush structure and docks. Paddlefish good snagging around channels and main lake. Crappie good on hair jigs, minnows, and plastic baits around brush structure. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on sassy shad and spinnerbaits around points and shorelines. Comments: Fishing continues to be good as the winds of change finally bring some cool weather. Crappie are in the brush and most folks are finding them around 15 ft. Largemouth bass good on jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits, and topwater lures around brush structure, docks, points, and weed beds. Blue and channel catfish fair on chicken liver and shad around channels, coves, and main lake. Crappie good on jigs, minnows, and worms around brush structure and docks. Kaw: October 6. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal and stable, water temperature 70°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass, spotted bass, striped bass hybrids, and white bass good on crankbaits, live bait, minnows, sassy shad, shad, spoons, and topwater lures around points, riprap, and river channel. Crappie good on crawfish, cut bait, live bait, live shad, shad, stinkbait, sunfish, and worms around channels, creek channels, flats, river channel, and river mouth. Keystone: October 10. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 78°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth bass fair on crankbaits, jigs, and plastic baits around brush structure, coves, and rocks. Blue and channel catfish fair on cut bait and shad around channels, creek channels, main lake, and river channel. Crappie slow on jigs and minnows around brush structure, docks, and rocks. Lower Illinois: October 6. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 60°F and clear. Rainbow trout fair on caddis flies, in-line spinnerbaits, midges, nymphs, and PowerBait below the dam. Comments: Best times are early morning and late evening, and best areas are below the dam and at the Watts area. Report submitted by Brek Henry, game warden stationed in Sequoyah County.

Tenkiller: October 8. Elevation is 0.5 ft. below normal and stable, water temperature 72°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth, smallmouth, and spotted bass good on buzz baits, jigs, plastic baits, spinnerbaits, and topwater lures around brush structure, docks, points, and shorelines. Crappie good on minnows, tube jigs, and worms around brush structure, docks, and main lake. Bluegill and green sunfish good on hair jigs, tube jigs, and worms around docks, rocks, and shorelines. Webbers Falls: October 8. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 74°F and stained. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth and spotted bass good on buzz baits, jigs, lipless baits, plastic baits, and spinnerbaits around brush structure, points, and shorelines. Blue and flathead catfish fair on live bait and shad below the dam, main lake, and river channel. Blue River: October 10. Elevation is normal and stable, water temperature 75°F and clear. Channel catfish fair on chicken liver, punch bait, and stinkbait around brush structure, channels, and rocks. Striped bass hybrids and white bass fair on Alabama rigs, crankbaits, and live shad around coves, inlet, main lake, and river channel. McGee Creek: October 6. Elevation is 1 ft. below normal and stable, water temperature 79°F and murky. (USACE Lake Level) Largemouth and spotted bass excellent on bill baits, buzz baits, crankbaits, plastic baits, and sassy shad around brush structure, docks, points, and standing timber. Channel and flathead catfish good on chicken liver, live bait, live shad, shrimp, stinkbait, and worms around channels, docks, main lake, and river channel. Texoma: October 8. Elevation is 3 ft. below normal and falling, water temperature 78°F and clear. (USACE Lake Level) Striped bass good on live shad around channels, main lake, points, and river channel. Blue, channel, and flathead catfish good on cut bait, dough bait, live shad, punch bait, and sunfish around channels, docks, main lake, and points. Crappie fair on grubs, hair jigs, jigs, and minnows around brush structure, channels, coves, docks, and points. Comments: Fishing this week has been good. Striper are good on live shad around Washita Point and the flat areas. Catfish are good on cut and live bait near and around the channels and ledges.
