On Friday Oct. 7 the Bristow Lady Pirates Fastpitch team went to regionals. They won regionals and are headed to state. Coach Hannah and the team were very excited to win the regional after losing the Sallisaw game in game 1. Bristow then went on to play Verdigris. When I talked to Head Coach Hannah, he stated that what helped them to win was the consistency in practices, working on their swing, and a strong defense that likes to play a little angry after the loss in game 1. Coach Hannah goes on and talks about the team as a whole. I asked him if he had any MVP’s and He said “ McKenna Ingram has been dominant in the circle and helps herself out at the plate as well. Ava Yocham is our catalyst. We go as she goes. Kenzie Williams' speed and short game sets us up for big innings right away. Really this whole group is special. All 20 play a part in our success and I want credit to go to all of them. Being a Family is the MVP for us.” Staying patient is the key for the Lady Pirates. Winning one inning at a time and not fast forwarding having to win 4 in a row. So if you're looking for something to do on Thursday Oct. 13 head to Oklahoma City, to the Hall of Fame and check out the Bristow Lady Pirates Fastpitch State.
