Lady Pirates play in Henryetta Tournament

The Bristow girls’ basketball team competed in the Henryetta Tournament on January 7, 8, and 9. Their first game was against Henryetta, where they won 65-10. During the first quarter, Jenna Stapleton stole the ball. Afterward, Chelsy Livesay got a block for the Lady Pirates. In the second quarter, Ava Yocham blocked Henryetta from scoring. Then, Abby Morgan scored two three-pointers. Addi Alexander also scored a three-pointer. Then, Lynzie Schonfield got a block. During the third quarter, Molly Gill scored a threepointer, followed by another three-pointer from Alexander. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 33 rebounds, 17 assists, 23 steals, and three blocks.

Their next game was against Yukon, where they lost 65-47. In the first quarter, Gill scored a three-pointer. Then, Camille Pritchard blocked Yukon; then, she stole the ball. In the next quarter, Yocham stole the ball. Afterward, Morgan scored a three-pointer. During the third quarter, Yocham stole the ball again. That was followed by another block by Pritchard. Then, Elizabeth Gerritson also got a block. Afterward, Alexander scored a three-pointer. In the last quarter, Yocham scored a three-pointer. Then, Alexander scored her second three-pointer of the game. She then stole the ball. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 39 rebounds, eight assists, four steals, and three blocks.

Their third game was against Hugo, where they lost 41-39. In the second quarter, Livesay stole the ball. Then, Morgan scored her first three-pointer of the game. Afterward, Pritchard stole the ball. During the third quarter, Gill scored a threepointer. Then, Pritchard blocked Hugo, and Alexander got a steal. Afterward, Morgan scored her second three-pointer of the game. Then, Pritchard blocked the ball again. In the fourth quarter, Yocham scored a three-pointer. Afterward, Alexander got a block. The Lady Pirates ended the game with 37 rebounds, eight assists, eight steals, and three blocks. Their next game will be Friday, January 15 at Mannford.
