Virgil J McIntyre was born on Nov. 15,1930 in Depew, to Virgil C McIntyre and Ruby (Richards) McIntyre.

He passed away peacefully at he on Sept. 5, 2022, at the age of 91. Surrounded by his son Rick, members of his church family Mike and Sabrina Buxton.

Virgil grew up in many towns in Oklahoma. Graduating from Depew High School in 1948.He attended OSU in Stillwater.

He served in the United States Army until 1953. He met Anna Weaver and married her Dec. 8, 1953. They resided in Stillwater, raising their three sons. He worked for Oklahoma Natural Gas where he retired from in 1986. He was active in Cub Scouts.

He loved flying RC planes, spending time with his grandchildren, playing games (especially dominos) and being active in church. if you asked him where he'd like to go eat (his answer would always be Braum’s) Virgil is survived by his sons Rick (Debbie) McIntyre of Stillwater, Bryan (Anne) McIntyre, of Champaign, Illinois., Scott (fiancé Nicole), of Riverton, Illinois, 10 grandchildren Jennifer, Kyle, Jesse, Bryan, Logan, Riley and Duncan McIntyre. Catie MacDonald, Trent Sherman and Lauren Karch, 10 great Grandchildren Mia and Miles Sherman, Owen and Aiden Karch, Owen, Allison and Ethen Mac-Donald, Kalysta Hinson, Kayelea Snow and Jazlyn McIntyre.

He was preceded in death by his wife Anna McIntyre, parents Virgil C. and Ruby McIntyre, sisters Grace Edwards, Chita Day and Norma Winn. Brother Richard McIntyre. Grandson Adam McIntyre and great granddaughter Olivia Mac-Donald.

Visitation will be on Saturday Sept. 17, 2022, at 10 a.m. Funeral services will be at 2 p.m. at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Chapel. Graveside service and military rites will follow at Magnolia Memorial Services with Minister Shelton Legg officiating.
