May 24, 1947 - June 16, 2023

Shirley Fay Brown was born May 24, 1947, to Jesse and Winnie Brown, in Gypsy.

She departed this life June 16, 2023, at the age of 76.

Shirley graduated from Depew High School in 1965. She worked hard in life, retiring from the Wrangler Jeans Plant after 30 years of service. Shirley was a beloved and faithful member of the Gypsy Holiness Church, where she served as Sunday school teacher of the toddlers class for over 30 years. She enjoyed quilting, reading, going to church, and cake decorating. If there was a campmeeting or revival going on nearby, that is where she could be found. Shirley loved being involved and helping with all church functions and activities, which kept her quite busy. Her life revolved around her family, and serving those she loved brought her great joy. She was known to babysit for many of her nieces and nephews, making sure they had all the love and nurturing they deserved.

Shirley is survived by three sisters, Fredia Fowler, of Midwest City, Sharon VanOrsdol, of Bristow, and Earlene Bostick and husband Bill, of Kellyville; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Jesse and Winnie Brown; three sisters, Betty Brown, Wilma Duke, Margaret Ailey, and one brother, Henry Brown.

Funeral services are scheduled for 10 a.m., Tuesday, June 20, 2023, at the Gypsy Holiness Church with interment to follow at the Sunrise Cemetery.
