Robert James Albright was born March 16, 1943, to William and Olive Albright in Van Wert, Ohio. He departed this life Dec. 28, 2024, at the age of 81.
Robert spent his youth in Ohio before moving to Bristow. He retired from Kwikset company after 16 years of service. He was a faithful member of the Bristow Free Will Baptist Church until his health would not allow him to go anymore.
Robert was a huge Ohio State Buckeye fan and loved to harass other church members regarding his buckeyes. He enjoyed collecting Coca Cola items as well as collecting die cast cars, and putting together puzzles. Robert also was a diehard Bristow Purple Pirate fan, attending many football and basketball games over the years.
He is survived by three children, Jenny Chilcoat, Rachel Spanos, and Robert James Albright Jr.: eight grandchildren, Elizabeth, Casey, Brandon, Brian, Robert James III, Brittany, Kathy, and Derrick as well as numerous great grandchildren. He was also blessed with two guardian angels who was always there to help him get through life, Marland Armitage and Mark Stroube.
He was preceded in death by parents, and two brothers, Fredrick and Earl Albright.
Funeral services were helduled at 2 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 2, 2025, at the Bristow Free Will Baptist Church. Services were under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
