Ricky "Rounder" Joe Clayton, 1968 - 2021

Graveside services for Mr. Ricky "Rounder" Joe Clayton, 52, of Davis is scheduled for 4:00 PM Friday March 12, 2021 at Hewitt Cemetery with Rev. Raymond Norton officiating. Services are under the care and direction of Alexander Gray Funeral Home of Wilson.

Ricky was born Dec. 9, 1968 at Bristow to the late Salty Webb and Grace Clayton. He departed this life Monday March 8, 2021, at Ardmore. Rounder was raised at Bristow where he graduated from high school. He worked as a police officer for several small communities including Dickson, Wilson and Healdton. Rounder also served as a paramedic for many years working with the Southern Oklahoma Ambulance Service. In between jobs Rounder worked as a funeral director assistant and prearrangement counselor at several surrounding funeral homes, lastly being employed at Alexander Funeral Home. Rounder always enjoyed having a good laugh with his friends and family. He was a devout Christian and enjoyed gospel music.

Preceding him were, parents; grandmother, Velva Clayton; Uncle and Aunt, Donnie and Clara Sparks, who were a huge parental influence in his life.

Survivors include his daughter, Sara Fels and husband Bailey of Ardmore; cousins who were like siblings, Kevin Sparks, Roy Sparks, both of Davis, Cindy Lakey and husband Doug of Duncan, Jeff Clayton and wife Levia of Graham and Steve Clayton of Ardmore; numerous other family and friends.

Family visitation will be held from 6 to 7 p.m. Thursday evening at Alexander Gray Funeral Home, of Wilson.
