Marvin Dee Willis was born May 23, 1936, to Grover and Ermal Willis in Tahlequah. He departed this life April 3, 2021, at the age of 84 years, 10 months and 11 days. Marvin was a loving father, husband, and grandfather.

He graduated from Westville High School. On Sept. 8, 1956 Marvin Wills and Norma McDonald were united in marriage. To this union were born two sons, Mike and Marty. They enjoyed 52 years together before her passing on March 1, 2009.

Marvin was retired from Creek County District #3. Marvin had many joys in life that included hauling hay and spending time with his children and grandchildren. He had a huge heart, an infectious smile, never met a stranger and would help anyone, anywhere and in any way he could.

He is survived by his children, Mike Willis and wife Machelle, of Bristow, Marty Willis and wife Kelli, of Sapulpa; seven grandchildren, Michael Willis and wife Marcie, of Tulsa, Matt Willis, of Bristow, Jeremy Brown and wife Dustie of Bristow, Kelsey Lerma and husband Gus, of Bristow, Melanie Pelayo and husband Chris, of Bristow, Kaytlin Brown, of Tulsa and Macy Shields and husband Chapman, of Stillwater; 10 great grandchildren, Jadyn Goodson, Oliva Willis, Mark Willis, Paisley Willis, Brantley Willis, Lynlee Brown, Luke Pelayo, Logan Pelayo, Hunter Lerma and Bryce Lerma; one brother Jerry Willis and wife Lee of Disney, OK and two sisters, Janet Colvin and husband Bob, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas and Ruby Willis, of Siloam Springs, Arkansas.

He was preceded in death by his parents Grover and Ermal Willis, wife Norma Willis, brother Leon Willis and four sisters Margaret Young, Geneva Bastin, Judy Sanderson and Dortha Straughan.

Funeral services are scheduled for 1:30 p.m., Saturday, April 10, 2021, at the First Freewill Baptist Church, in Bristow, with Reverend Wayne Gemmill officiating. Interment will follow at Oakhill Cemetery. Visitation will be from 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Thursday, April 8, 2021 and 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021, at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
