Lois Mae Leverett was born in Tahlequah, OK to Orlie and Mae Wade on April 18, 1936, in Tahlequah. She departed this life Feb. 7,2024,at the age of 87 in Cushing. Lois lived in Tahlequah in her early years and moved to Bristow as a young girl where she graduated from Bristow High School in 1955.

Lois married the love of her life, Don Leverett in 1955 and were married until his passing in 2011. Together they have four children, Anther, Katie, Terry, and Lisa. Lois began as a stay-at-home mom or homemaker. She loved raising her children and taking care of Don. While all four kids were still at home Lois started selling Studio Girl cosmetics but that certainly was not her last job. Her favorite job was working through OSU extension teaching adults and children how to eat and prepare more nutritious foods. She loved working in her yard whether it was her garden or her multitude of flowers. Her favorite flowers were her hydrangeas and one year they grew taller than her.

Lois loved family. Lois was a proud grandmother blessed with grandchildren and great grandchildren who loved and adored her as much as she did all of them.

Lois is survived by her four children and their spouses, Anther and Ron Miller of Stroud; Katie and Larry Penn of Chandler; Terry and Belva Leverett of Bristow; and Lisa Faulkner of Stillwater, OK; grandchildren JD Penn and wife Cory, Melissa Claunch, Kyla Short and husband Derek, Shanahan Ramos and husband Paul, Tye Miller and wife April, Matthew Faulkner and wife Bridgette, Michelle Dunbar and husband Dennis, and TL Faulkner and wife Kelly; great grandchildren Jarrett, Shailey, and Josie Penn; Isaac and Alex Claunch; Laci, Aiden, and Ryder Miller, Abby Bolding, and Jordan Ramos; Zoe, Alanna, and Makenna Faulkner; Ethan, Emma, and Evan Dunbar; Madyson August Barber, Matthew, Lilah, and Everlee Faulkner. And one remaining sibling Joyce Kinslow and husband Ray.

Proceeding Lois in death are her parents Orlie and Mae Wade; her husband Don Leverett; and siblings Orlie Theadore, Billy Darrell, Archie Lee, Jimmie Paul, and Harold Wade; and grandson Cole Faulkner. Funeral proceedings were at Maples Hutchinson Funeral Home in Bristow on Tuesday, Feb. 13, 2024. Graveside services followed at Magnolia Gardens Cemetery in Bristow.
