Joseph Edward Jae-Yung; Park was born on February 19, 1997, in S. Korea. He was the son of Jung-Wook Apple and Annette Park of Edmond. Jae-Yung went to sleep in Jesus on Feb. 6, 2023, at the age of 25, in Redlands, California, where he resided.

Jae-Yung grew up in Bristow, and attended Bristow Adventist School from kindergarten to 8th grade. He then attended Ozark Adventist Academy in Gentry, Arkansas for high school and went on to graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Kinesiology from Southwestern Adventist University in Keene, Texas In 2022, he graduated with a degree as a Physical Therapy Assistant from Loma Linda University of Allied Health and passed his boards in January of 2023.

Jae-Yung had a passion for bodybuilding and helping people, and he believed that becoming a PTA was his calling to help others live their best and healthiest lives. He was excited to start his new career.

Jae-Yung is survived by his parents, Jung-Wook Park and Annette Park, of Edmond, his older brother and sister-in-law, Jae-Min Park and Ashley Li from Rochester, New York, and his younger brother, Scott Park of Edmond. He also leaves behind extended family in Texas, Wyoming, and Bristow, including Aunts and Uncles Terry and Lisa Cantu of The Woodlands, Texas; In Jong and Eun Hee Choi of Tulsa; Myung Hee Park, of S. Korea; David and Marrolyce Wilson, of Mills, Wyoming; David Donahoo, of Mills, Wyoming; cousins are Jennifer, Richard, Sophia, and Charlotte Eastham, of Katy, Texas; Tony, Alice, and Alexander, of Houston, Texas; Jake, Ida, Kevin, and Andrew Choi, of Kansas City, Missouri; Michael, Sue, William, and Isabella Chong of Dallas, Teas; Cameron, Katie, Brooke, and Macey Parmely, of Casper, Wyoming; Stacy and Tae-Lyn Faigle, of Paradise Valley, Wyoming; and David Kolb, of Casper, Wyoming.

Funeral services for Jae-Yung will be held at 10 a.m. on Monday, Feb. 27, 2023, at the Bristow Freewill Baptist Church in Bristow, followed by interment at the Bristow City Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Jae-Yung Scholarship Fund; which helps children attend Bristow Adventist School who cannot afford it.
