John Carl Beesley, born Aug. 27, 1935 in Ardmore, to parents Carl Beesley, a World Champion Cowboy 1930, and Margaret Beesley a government employee. John entered into Heaven April 27, 2024 while surrounded by family.
John attended Cushing, Oklahoma schools. He received his BA from NSU, Tahlequah; Masters from CSU, Edmond, and Graduate School at Oklahoma State University and Tulsa University.
John served two years in the U.S. Army. He was a teacher, coach and administrator in several Oklahoma schools. He coached the North Oklahoma All State Game in 1967. He left the school system and began selling insurance and received an award for being a Million Dollar Sales Agent his first year in the insurance field. He founded the Insurance Agency, Mass Group Marketing in 1980. John was inducted into the Insurance Marketing Hall of Fame in 2005. John was an avid golfer.
John is survived by his wife Candace M. Beesley, children Bambi Kilgore and husband Gary, of Oologah, Kelly Beesley and wife Marilynn, of McKinney, Texas, Robin Hurley and husband Scott, of Guthrie, Amber Munger, of McKinney, Texas and Chad Munger, of Divide, Colorado; as well as grandchildren Bobby, Johnny and Cortney Conterez, Kelsey Beesley Peace and Makale Beesley, Hannah Munger, Ryan Hurley and 14 great grandchildren; brother Stanley Beesley and wife Denise and sister Martha Beesley Vaughan.
He is proceeded in death by his parents, brother Paul Beesley, brother in-law Tony Vaughan and granddaughter Veronika Loge’ Green.
John was loved and respected by many.
