Jimmy Steven Tillman passed away on Dec. 22, 2021,. He was born on Aug. 11, 1949, in Sand Springs.

Steve grew up around Bristow/Stroud area most of his life. He graduated from Bristow High School in 1969 and enjoyed being a jockey. Steve was drafted right out of high school and served two years in the Army during the Vietnam war. He was severely injured when his APC ran over a landmine and received a Purple Heart. After returning home he met Susan Masterson in 1972 and had a daughter, Shawna. He and Susan were together 16 years. He later met Kimberly Whiteside and became a father to Jacquelyn and later had a son Jacob. He and Kimberly spent eight years together. Steve continued being a jockey for several years at Midway Downs and worked at Chances R Farm for 23 years. He met and then married Mary Mashburn on Aug. 22, 2015, in Chandler, Steve enjoyed all sorts of things. Some of his favorites was ax throwing, even setting up a target in his own backyard and he also enjoyed golfing and shuffleboard. Steve was one who always had a sense of humor no matter what life threw at him. He will be deeply missed.

Steve is survived by his wife of six years Mary Tillman, daughter Shawna Swindell and husband Erik; son Jacob Tillman and wife Sydney; daughter Jacquelyn Terrell and husband Jeffrey; grandchildren Jade, Josiah, Chloe, Caleb, Kayla, Brooklyn, Bailey, Isaac, Creed, Everly, Lacey, Brandt, Maizlynn and Penelope; great grandson Dexter; mother, Eunice Lawson; brother Ricky Lawson, and sister Sherry Tripoli; and numerous extended family and friends.

Memorial service will b held at 11 a.m. at Sac and Fo Nation Chapel on Friday, Jan 7, 2022. Condolences may b offered online at www.parksbrothers.net.
