James Samuel Ledgerwood was born on March 7, 1943 and departed this life on May 31, 2023.

James was born to Henry and Ida (Woods) Ledgerwood. James has lived most of his life around the Creek/Lincoln County area. James met and married Imogene Thompson on April 23, 1962 in Okemah. He began working in the oil field at a young age. Then after retiring from the oil field he went to work for John Cassidy for over 20 years. One of James’ greatest passions in life was bowling. He also enjoyed keeping up with his grandkids. James loved to tinker with things and if it was broken he could fix it. Many times people showing up to have him fix things that were in need of repair because if he couldn’t fix it there was no one that could. James had the biggest kindest heart.

He loved sending little videos to his favorite daughterin- law, Judi, even though he really didn’t know how to work his phone. He loved watching tv every morning with his son Glen trying to get the answer of the day. His caring loving spirit will be missed.
