James “Frog” Dale Anderson was born August 11, 1957, to Daniel Mark and Dorothy Joyce Anderson in Stroud, Oklahoma. He departed this life December 28, 2022, at the age of 65.
He had spent his life in the Bristow area. He was married to Judy Anderson for 40 years before their divorce, and the two remained good friends until his death. He was the father of two daughters, Racheal, and Amanda. He had worked as a sandblaster/ painter for many years before retiring.
He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and spending time with his grandchildren. He was also a huge John Wayne fan and loved cheering for Oklahoma State University.
He is survived by Judy Anderson and their two daughters, Racheal Hunter, and Amanda Hinshaw, son-in-law Dustin Hinshaw; five siblings, Bonnie Harrington, Charlene Benson, Judy Bradford, William Anderson, and Linda Hobbs; four grandchildren, Addyson Hunter, Laura Hunter, Alexia Hinshaw, and Dominic Hinshaw. He was preceded in death by his parents, one sister, Mary Brickey, three brothers, Bobby Jo, Steven, and Danny Wayne Anderson.
Graveside services are scheduled for 2 p.m.,Thursday,Jan. 5, 2023, at the Welty Cemetery. A reception will follow at the Matherly meeting place immediately after the service.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Hospital or the John 3:16 Mission in Frog’s name. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
