Hubert Dale McGuire was born December 8, 1944 to Marsh (Pid) and Jessie McGuire in Bristow, Oklahoma. He departed this life Jan. 15, 2022, at the age of 77 years 1 month and 7 days.

Hubert grew up in and around the Bristow area. He was a 1962 graduate of Depew High School. He and Waynetta King were united in marriage Dec. 8, 1964; the two chose this day so he was sure to always remember his birthday. Hubert enlisted in the United States Army in May of 1966 making the Rank of SP4(T) before being honorably discharged. Most of his service was spent in Europe as a heavy vehicle driver. Hubert always had a love for big trucks; if he wasn’t driving, he was in them, on them, under them, in front of them or behind them with the pilot service. He gave 29 years working for Arrow in the truck shop. He was a loving husband, great father and a best Papa and friend who would do most anything he was asked. He worked on trucks, tinkered in the garage and helped many people as a shade tree mechanic. Hubert was a member of the ELKS Lodge for quite some time.

Hubert is survived by his wife Waynetta, of the home; two children, Tammy DeAnn Barrett of Bristow and Sean Dale McGuire and wife Kim of Glenpool; two brothers Eugene McGuire and wife Barbara of Gypsy and Kenny McGuire and wife Sue of Bristow; five grandchildren, Eric Barrett, Madison Barret, Meagan Barrett, Samantha McGuire and Sydney McGuire as well as a host of nieces and nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents and sister Charlene Pagan.
