H.L. Pinson, 1927 - 2021

H.L. Pinson was born April 26, 1927, to J.S. and Annie Pinson in Oliver Springs, Arkansas. He departed this life Jan. 17, 2021, at the age of 93 years, eight months and 22 days.

H.L. moved to the Bristow area at a young age and remained a lifelong resident. H.L. served his country faithfully and honorably during World War II with the United States Army. He Loved his family fiercely. Well Known around town for his humor and wit; he had a smile and conversation for all his path might cross. He worked many years as a roofer providing for his family. He was an avid fisherman and hunter. As well he was a member of the ELKS Lodge and VFW.

H.L. is survived by his wife, of 31 years, Kippy; three children, Stevie Gene Pinson, Kathy Roberts and Debbie Plum; six grandchildren, Renda Darnell, Eric Roberts, Jennifer Conkling, Jeff Roberts, Lance Plum and Jerod Plum; 14 great-grandchildren and six great-great grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, one son, Gary Dean Pinson; one granddaughter, Tiffany Plum and one greatgreat granddaughter, Aubrey Rayne. Services will be held 1 p.m., Saturday, Jan. 23, 2021, at Hutchins-Maples Matherly Chapel with Reverend Gene Jackson officiating.
