Funeral services for Sand Springs resident, Helen Tanner, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, April 10, 2021, in the Memorial Chapel of Michael’s Funeral Home, of Bristow. Her son, Allan Roberts officiated.

Helen Pearline Tanner was born in Clovis, New Mexico on May 7, 1940, to the late Emmitt Woodrow Hudson and Flora Ann (Turner) Hudson. She passed from this life peacefully in Sand Springs on April 6, 2021 at the age of 80 years, 10 months and 30 days. Helen was a longtime resident of Bristow before moving to Drumright, where she lived for several years. She had worked in Bristow as a cashier for Super H Grocery. She then worked for Napa Auto Parts, CB Auto, and retired from Bumper to Bumper Auto Parts. For the past few years, she has lived in Sand Springs to be closer to family.

She was preceded in death by her mother: Flora Ann Monk; her father and stepmother Emmitt and Phyllis Hudson; brother, Emmitt Hudson; sisters, Sherry Mountain, Johnnie Williamson and twin Pauline Wolfe; daughter Phyllis White; son David Roberts; and great grandson Thaddeus Joseph Carter Funk. Her remaining family includes her children, Bea Newell. of Tulsa, Bob Agnew. of Bristow Allan Roberts, of Lebanon, Missouri, Dana Sheldon, of Sand Springs; daughters-in-law, Jannetta Clark, of Bristow Krissy Roberts, of Missouri, Johnnie Sue Rowland, of Drumright; son-in-law: Kenny White, of Sand Springs; 22 grandchildren, 41 great grandchildren (including twin great grandsons who were born on her and her twin’s 80th birthday); two brothers, Myron Allen and wife Janis, of North Dakota, Bob Allen and wife Roni, of California; brother–in–law Herbert Roberts & wife, Betty, of Idaho; sister-in-law Marylin McGuire, of Iowa; plus numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.
