Glenn Darrell Chasteen, 1949 - 2021

Glenn Darrell Chasteen was born Oct. 28, 1949, to James Arie and Frances Faye Chasteen in Martinez, California. He departed this life April 19, 2021, at the age of 71.

He graduated from Tulsa McClain High School. Glenn served his country in the United States Army from 1969 to 1971 during the Vietnam conflict.

On Sept. 29, 1972, Glenn Chasteen and Althea Caldwell were united in marriage. From this union were born three sons, Carl, Dennis, and Larry.

Glenn was a member of the Bristow V.F.W. as well as a Mason with the Creek Lodge #226. He enjoyed fishing and tinkering in the shop on whatever needed his attention. Above all, he loved spending time with his children and grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife of over 48 years, Althea Chasteen, of the home; three sons, Carl Chasteen and wife Marsha, of Sumter, South Carolina, Dennis Chasteen, of Bristow, Larry Chasteen and wife Nichole, of Cleveland; one sister, Ramona Jackson, of Tulsa; one brother Lawrence Chasteen, of Lexington, Oklahoma; five grandchildren, Cierra Chasteen, Mallory Chasteen, Emilie Chasteen, Chloe Chasteen and Clarr Chasteen; one great grandchild, Kasen Glenn Piper.

He was preceded in death by his parents and one brother, Robert Chasteen.

Funeral services were held at 2 p.m., Thursday, April 22, 2021, at the Faith Baptist Church in Slick. Interment followed at the Bristow City Cemetery.
