Frances Aline MaComb was born March 13, 1938, to Jennings and Dovie (Renfro) Irwin in Depew, Oklahoma, being the youngest of four siblings and a graduate of Gypsy Public Schools. She gained her heavenly wings on February 25, 2024, at the age of 85.

On June 7, 1958, she traveled to Elizabeth, Kentucky and became Mrs. Bill Ma-Comb where he was stationed in the United States Army. From this union were born two children, Gary and Ronda. She worked at several places including Anthony’s, she sold Avon for several years and retired from Miss Elaine’s garment factory in the late 80’s.

Aline was always busy doing something. She enjoyed cooking, flower gardening, and doing a variety of crafts, including painting, crocheting, cross stitching, and wood crafts. She sold her talents at craft shows as far away as Arkansas. Aline and Bill enjoyed traveling or just taking a weekend off and relaxing with family and friends at their getaway spot at Lake Eufaula. In her later years she became a second mom to her two great granddaughters, Mystin and Shandi, for a large portion of their life. She was also very well known for her ability to make the most delicious peanut brittle around so much; she began selling it for the holidays.

Most of all Aline was a dedicated Christian lady having attended the Bristow Free Holiness church and being the Sunday School secretary for numerous years as well as being a deacon’s wife for over forty years. She will be missed by those that knew and loved her.

Aline is survived by one daughter, Ronda Thompson and husband Rocky of Yale, Oklahoma; one sister, Faye Holladay, of Bailey, Colorado; one granddaughter, Kasha McCollum of Oklahoma City; one grandson, Kyle Mc-Collum and wife Jolynn of Bristow; two great granddaughters, Mystin McMahan of Bristow and Shandi Jones of Oklahoma City and several nieces and nephews. She is preceded in death by her parents, husband, Bill Ma-Comb, one son, Gary Ma-Comb, sister, Dean Dobson, brother-in-law, Carl Dobson, one brother, Kenneth Irwin, sister-in-law, Audrey Irwin, two brother in laws, Carl Dobson and William Holladay, two nephews, Jerry and Gene Dobson.

Funeral services are scheduled for 11:00AM, Thursday, February 29, 2024, at the Bristow Holiness Church with interment to follow at Magnolia Memorial Gardens. Condolences can be seen at www.hutchinsmaplesfuneralhome. com
