Evelyn LaDell Fisher died at her home southeast of Bristow on Nov. 16, 2020, at the age of 90.

Because of the Covid-19 epidemic, a service will take place at a later date to celebrate her life.

She was born to Leo and Ruby Kinder on Dec. 8, 1929, in Clovis New Mexico, the forth of six children. She enjoyed the companionship of her large family. After several moves, they settled in Vinita, where her parents operated a cookie shop.

She attended school at Ozark Academy, near Gentry, Arkansas, and Southwestern Junior College in Keene, Texas. She met and dated Russell Fisher during her school years, and they married June 27, 1948 in Vinita.

After marriage, they settled on the Fisher farm close to Slick, where Russell raised cattle and farmed. LaDell became a farm wife, and a mother of five. She gardened, raised chickens and sold eggs, and brought up their children.

LaDell Fisher was a lifelong member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church. She and Russell were charter members of the Bristow Seventh-day Adventist, and remained active there until the Mid 1970s when they were instrumental in establishing a Seventh-day Adventist Church in Okmulgee.

LaDell was also a strong promoter and supporter of Christian education, and the Bristow Adventist School.

God and faith were central in her life. She was a woman of sterling character and impeccable integrity. She was known for her generosity, smiles, and faithfulness.

And then came her family. She was a loving and dedicated mother, and a true friend to all in her life. She was kind, helpful, cheerful and patient.

LaDell was preceded in death by her husband of 54 years, Russell Fisher, her parents, Leo and Ruby Kinder, two brothers, JB Kinder and Floyd Kinder, one sister, Leora Day, and one sonin-law, Craig Anderson.

She is survived by one siste Annabelle Robison, and on brother, Bob Kinder. She is als survived by her five children Howard Fisher and his wif Edwina, Frances Cook and he husband Michael, Myrna Anderson, Lois Matthews and he husband Kenneth, and Kennet Fisher and his wife Debby LaDell Fisher has 19 grandchildren and 28 great-grandchildren.
