Brenda McKay, 69 year old Woodward resident passed away Friday, Nov. 20, 2020 in Enid. Funeral services were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 24, 2020 in the Billings Funeral Home Chapel. Interment was 2 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 25, 2020, in the Magnolia Memorial Gardens Cemetery in Bristow.

Brenda Sue (Cruce) McKay was born on May 8, 1951, in Bristow, the daughter of C. Nelson and Betty June (Day) Cruce. Brenda grew up in Bristow, attended school in Slick. She was very proud of the fact that she was from Slick. She was united in marriage to Jimmy Ray McKay on Feb. 24, 1968, in Bristow, where they made their first home. Brenda and Jim lived in Oklahoma City, Muskogee, Broken Arrow and Idabel before moving to Woodward, where they have owned and operated McKay Ford since 1995.

Brenda and Jim were blessed with two children, Jimmy and Dana. She was a loving mother and always there to support her children from childhood on into adulthood. Her grandchildren hung the moon, she made it known that Granny as she was lovingly called by them, could spoil them any way she saw fit.

She and Jim enjoyed life, they enjoyed traveling, and the many trips to casinos with family and friends.

Brenda is survived by one son, Jimmy McKay and wife Melanie; one daughter, Dana McKay, of Woodward; grand children, Jaxson McKay; Raelyn McKay; Gage Cullens and fiancé Toniee; great-grandson, Huxton Cullens; brother-in-law, Eddie McKay of Bartlesville; several nieces, nephews, other family and friends.
