Beverly Elizabeth Dobbs passed away on Sunday, May 26, 2024, on the family farm in Depew. She was 86 years old. Born to Bill and Lela Fine on Jan. 20, 1938, in Niotaze, Kansas. She was one of nine children.
Beverly married the “love of her life” Robert Lee Dobbs on Sept. 2, 1954, in Bixby. This marked the beginning of a shared life filled with love and devotion. She worked side by side with her husband as they achieved their goal of running a cattle farm.
She graduated from Brookside Beauty College in Tulsa, Ok in 1967 and fulfilled her dream of owning and operating her own beauty salon. She touched many lives and made many many friends over the years in that Beauty shop. She went on to continue offering her services to the residents in the Bristow Nursing Home until she retired.
Beverly enjoyed reading, gardening and traveling as well as serving in her church on various committees and teaching Sunday School. She was still a member of the Jenks Regular Baptist Church. Her smile could light up a room and her laugh was infectious.
Beverly is preceded by her parents, husband, three brothers, one sister, and one son-inlaw. Her memory and legacy will be cherished and kept alive by her children and grandchildren.
She is survived by her daughters; Tabbie (Allen) Mckendry, of Alaska, Becky (Jim) Adkins, of Depew, her son Bobby (Leslie) Dobbs, also of Depew; her grandchildren, Nikki Hale, Patrick McKendry, Deanna Stevens, Brianna Dobbs, Matthew Slape and Nick Webb, along with 14 great grandchildren and one great great grandchild.
A private family service was held at the Dobbs Family Cemetery on Wednesday May 29, 2024. Officiating was a beloved family friend, Rev. Mike Clark of Foyle, Oklahoma.
Pallbearers were Patrick McKendry, Hunter Hale, Aaron Russell, and Jerry Don Cagle.
