Betty Sue Honeycutt

January 24, 1939 - November 1, 2023

Betty Sue Honeycutt was born January 24, 1939, to James Herring and Cora Almeda Murphy in Jenks. She departed this life November 1, 2023, at the age of 84.

Betty graduated from Jenks High School in 1957. On January 25, 1957, Betty Herring and Floye Honeycutt were united in marriage. From this union were born three sons, Roger, Gary, and Eddie.

She loved all her dogs, most recently her dog, “Tippy”. She also enjoyed playing marbles and cards, and most importantly spending time with her grandchildren.

She was also a huge Elvis Presley fan.

She is survived by her husband of 63 years, Floye Honeycutt; three sons, Roger Honeycutt and wife Pat, Gary Honeycutt, and Eddie Honeycutt and wife Kerry; one brother, Emory Herring; five grandchildren, Tiffany Honeycutt, Roger Honeycutt Jr. and wife Crystal, Tanya Smith and husband Kris, William Honeycutt Jr. and wife Mandy, Brianna Honeycutt and Beau Honeycutt; eleven great grandchildren, Lily Daughtry, Gary Daughtry, Emily Honeycutt, Owen Honeycutt, Kaleb Honeycutt, Masen Honeycutt, Rhys Smith, Kyser Honeycutt, Stevie Honeycutt, Ryder Honeycutt, and Cruse Neal; one daughter-in-law, Sheila Honeycutt.

She was preceded in death by her parents, three siblings, Jimmy Herring, Mary Bright, and Bobby Smith.

Funeral services were scheduled for 2 p.m., Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at the Trinity Baptist Church with interment following at the Old 44 Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly
