Benjamin Franklin (Jack) Lane, 83, of Depew, went home to be with Jesus, Tuesday, January 25, 2022 in his home surrounded by family and friends.

Jack was born Oct. 1, 1938, in Bristow, to the late Howard and Stella Coffey Lane. He was the third of four children. Carl, Mary Ellen, Jack and June.

Graduating in 1957 from Depew High School, Jack married the late Allene June Rich of Davenport on March 21, 1958, in Stroud. The couple had five children, Don, Gayla, Larry, Kevin and Greg.

He attended Depew Church of

God and was a dedicated Christian. Jack showed others of his deep faith in Christ. Working several places, Jack retired from Depew Fire Department, serving 33 years, 13 as Fire Chief, Depew Schools, and the United States Postal Service. Jack also served as the sexton of the Oakdale Cemetery in Depew until earlier this year and owned multiple TV repair shops.

He was preceded in death by his parents; wife June; daughter Gayla, brother Carl and one sister, Mary Ellen.

He is survived by his children, Reverend Don Lane and Belinda, of Ola, Arkansas, Larry Lane and Sonia, Kevin Lane and Tina, Greg Lane, all of Depew; Stephen Lane and Tiffany, of Mounds, Bryan Lane and Stephanie, of Glenpool; fourteen grandchildren; 28 greatgrandchildren; two great greatgrandchildren and one sister, June Hilbert.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Depew Oakdale Cemetery Fund, PO Box 497, Depew, Oklahoma

Funeral services were held Saturday, Jan. 29, 2022 at Assembly of God Church, 410 N. 2nd Avenue in Stroud, Oklahoma. Interment followed at Oakdale Cemetery in Depew.
