Arnold Leon Dunn was born Nov. 13, 1937, to Arnold Francis and Alta Mae Dunn in Alma, Arkansas. He departed this life Sept. 1, 2021, at the age of 83 with his wife by his side.

He graduated from County Line, Arkansas and went on to the University of Arkansas where he received Biology degree. He later went on to get a master’s degree from Central State University. He was a believer in higher education, so much that before his was finished he had four undergraduate degrees and two master’s degrees. He also served his country in the United States Air Force where he served as a Medic during the Berlin crisis.

After meeting Marjorie in Tulsa, the couple decided to get married in Pryor, Oklahoma in 1962. On Nov. 30, 1962, the couple welcomed their son, Jon Arnold Dunn into the world.

He worked for 37 years for Depew Public Schools. He started as science teacher and retired as the elementary principal.

He was a member of the Depew Church of Christ. When he wasn’t working, he enjoyed fishing and hunting. He made a great impact on the lives of his students and will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife, Marjorie Dunn; one grandson, Jonathan Dunn and numerous other relatives and friends.
