Albert Olin Haulcomb, 1938 - 2020

Albert Olin Haulcomb was born Nov. 28, 1938, to Olin Preston and Dorothy “Dot” Haulcomb, in Bristow. He departed this life Jan. 8, 2021, at his home at the age of 82.

He was a graduate of Depew High School. After graduating he entered the United States Air Force where he served from 1958 to 1962.

On Oct. 1, 1965, Albert Olin Haulcomb and Phyllis Ann Ailey were united in marriage. From this union were born two children, Karie and Preston.

He worked a Unit Rig in Tulsa as the shop foreman. He retired after 37 years on the job. He enjoyed tending to his cows and welding. His true love was spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Phyllis Haulcomb; one son, Preston Haulcomb and wife Christina; one daughter, Karie Lee and husband John; two brothers, Lonnie Haulcomb and wife Glenda and Gary Haulcomb and wife Lequita; four grandchildren, Kristyn Haulcomb, Katelyn Haulcomb, Ryan Olin Lee and Kara A. Lee; three great grandchildren, Ayden Haulcomb, Ryder Sexton and Jaylah Weir. Many nieces and nephews and a host of friends. He was preceded in death by his parents and one sister, Theda Buchanan.

Graveside were held at 2 p.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, 2021, at the Bristow City Cemetery with Reverend Brent White officiating.
