Albert Clarence Blythe was born Feb. 16, 1928, to Grover Cleveland Blythe and Flora Lula Blythe in Bowlegs, Oklahoma. He was a twin to Abbie Claretta Blythe Hufford and he was one of 10 children. He departed this life at age 95, on Oct. 13, 2023, in the home, surrounded by his loving family.

He graduated from Gypsy High School in 1948. He was united in marriage to Ruby Morris on February 28, 1953. Together they enjoyed 70 years of marriage. From this union were born two sons, David and Mark, and a daughter, Donna. Albert had highest respects for his aunt Winnie Brown whose motherly love and prayers resulted in his salvation.

He was employed at Allied Materials, in Stroud, for many years and retired at age 62 from Word Industries in Tulsa, OK. After his retirement, he enjoyed gardening, hunting, fishing, and spoiling his grandkids. He was a faithful member of Gypsy Holiness Church where he served for many years as deacon. Together, he and his wife Ruby served as secretary and treasurer for approximately 62 years. He was actively involved in numerous church functions, fundraisers, and building projects. Anyone who knew him would agree that his whole life revolved around the Lord, his family, and his church.

He was preceded in death by his parents, twin sister Abbie, sisters Lillie, Annie, and Mary, and brothers, Ira and George. Also worthy of mentioning are some children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren who moved to Heaven before birth.

He is survived by his wife Ruby, of the home; son David and wife Diana, son Mark and wife Sheryl, and daughter, Donna; grandchildren; Sandy, Andrea, Richard, Ashley, Adrina, Trent, Amanda, Tearle, and Alecia. Great-Grandchildren; Paige, Leah, Alexis, Natalie, Noelle, Aiden, Nolan, Brooke, Addalyn, Levi, Archer, and Nora. Brothers; Willie and Raymond Blythe, Sister; Derotha Blythe Livermore Viewing and visitation will be held at Gypsy Holiness Church, on Sunday evening, October 15 from 4 - 8 pm. Funeral service was held on Monday, Oct. 16, 2023 at 2 p.m. Interment followed at Bristow City Cemetery. Services are under the direction of Hutchins Maples Matherly Funeral Home.
