Travelers making their way down historic Route 66 have a new reason to stop in Bristow, and it may require a bit of climbing.
Anchor 66 owners Adam and Dani Schiller recently unveiled a giant patriotic red, white and blue Adirondackstyle chair, creating an amazing new photo opportunity for locals and travelers passing through town.
“We wanted to add another fun roadside attraction to Anchor 66,” Dani Schiller said in a quick interview. “Something that would give people a reason to stop, take a picture, and make a memory along Route 66.”
The idea became even more meaningful when the chair itself turned into a family project. The oversized attraction was hand-built and painted by Adam’s father, Paul Schiller.
“The giant chair was created with exactly that in mind: a larger-than-life photo opportunity for our customers and travelers passing through Bristow,” Dani said.
Since its arrival, the chair is already being put to use. Anchor 66 recently shared a photo of the owners’ youngest son Brayden settled into the oversized seat enjoying a book, showing that apparently even a giant roadside attraction can double as a quiet reading spot.
The Schillers encourage visitors to stop in, grab a picture and make their own memory in the BIG chair.
Along a highway famous for its unusual roadside attractions, Bristow’s newest addition proves that sometimes it takes something big to make travelers slow down and stay awhile.
