On Saturday morning, the residents of Bristow awoke around 3 a.m. to no water. A main line in the system on Industrial Road near the water tower had broken and the entire city was without water until early afternoon Saturday. Blocking off Industrial Road to traffic for safety reasons, the mayor and city workers quickly responded and worked dilegently to get the water restored to the community. Social media posts from the mayor and police departement kept the community informed on the progress of the work. As soon as the pressure built back up in the system’s lines, residents water was running like normal. One thing to remember when a water line breaks, is to leave the faucets in you home shut off. Imagine evey resident in the community opening the faucets at the same time, it would take a significant amount of time for pressure to build up in the lines.
